Welcome Week

Welcome Week includes events and activities that will help you get connected to your campus and classmates, feel supported as you navigate college, and prepare for successful years at Saint Joseph's University

  • Ask a Hawk | 7:30AM - 6:30PM | Chapel Lawn

    New to campus or just have questions about SJU? Come out to Chapel Lawn & Foley Lawn to Ask a fellow Hawk! 

    Welcome Back Block Party | 4:00PM - 6:00PM | Chapel Lawn

    Join Hawk Hill Productions as they kick off the Fall Semester by celebrating with a Welcome Back Block Party. Come out and enjoy face painting, balloon artists, obstacle courses, carnival games and fun fair foods. 

  • Ask a Hawk | 7:30AM - 6:30PM | Chapel Lawn

    New to campus or just have questions about SJU? Come out to Chapel Lawn & Foley Lawn to Ask a fellow Hawk! 

    Water Games & Water Ice | 7:30PM - 9:30PM | Chapel Lawn

    Join Hawk Hill Productions for their annual Tie Dye event. There will be free t-shirts given out at the beginning of the event to tie dye. Once you tie dye stay to enjoy a dunk tank, water slide and water ice! 

  • Comedy Night | 7:00PM - 8:00PM | The Perch

    Join Hawk Hill Productions in welcoming influencer, Ryan Kelly to campus! 

  • Activities Fair | 4:00PM - 6:00PM | Curran Field

    Get involved on campus by coming out and meeting all the organizations that SJU has to offer! 

    Movie on the Lawn | 7:00PM | Great Lawn

    Grab your friends, bring a blanket, and join Hawk Hill Productions for a relaxing night under the stars as we watch the beloved classic Shrek! Enjoy a variety of Shrek-themed snacks and treats while laughing along with everyone's favorite ogre. Whether it's your first time watching or your fiftieth, this is the perfect way to unwind, enjoy free food, and spend an evening with fellow Hawks.

  • Puppy Yoga | 4:00PM | O'Pake Recreation Center | $5

    Join Hawk Hill Productions to unwind, stretch, and cuddle! Join us for a relaxing yoga session with adorable puppies. No experience needed—just bring your mat and good vibes! $5 tickets will be available starting at 12PM on August 24th on sju.edu/tickets.

    Campus Ministry Cookout | 5:00PM | Wolfington Lawn

    Enjoy the end of Welcome Week with Campus Ministry at their annual Campus Ministry Cookout on Wolfington Lawn! Enjoy free burgers, hot dogs and other cookout favorites while connecting with fellow Hawks. Challenge your friends to lawn games, meet the Campus Ministry team and don't miss the chance to dunk your favorite Campus Ministry staff member in the dunk tank!

  • Six Flags | Six Flags Great Adventure | $15

    Get ready for a day of thrills, laughs, and unforgettable memories at Six Flags! Whether you're chasing the biggest thrills or just looking to spend the day with friends, there's something for everyone.
