Saint Joseph’s University’s School of Education and Human Development has launched two new professional development courses through its Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support. Neurodivergent individuals currently represent an estimated 15 to 20% of the population. These courses are created for higher education professionals, corporate leaders, managers and HR professionals and explore the value of neurodiversity through practical, research-based strategies.

Each course can be taken on your own time. Participants will receive a digital badge upon completion to showcase their new skills and achievements.

Colleges Learning about Autistic Student Support (CLASS)

This training series equips faculty and staff in higher education with the knowledge and tools to create a more inclusive, supportive campus experience for autistic and neurodivergent students. Through multiple focused courses, faculty and staff gain practical tools and a deeper understanding of how to promote student success across academic, social, and residential settings. Participants explore the fundamentals of autism and neurodiversity, principles of universal design for learning, and strategies for effective communication, accommodation and counseling.

Neurodiversity at Work (N@W)

This training series empowers organizations to recruit, acknowledge and support neurodivergent talent, creating stronger, more inclusive workplaces. Created for corporate leaders, managers and HR professionals, the multi-course series explores the value of neurodiversity through practical, research-based strategies. Participants learn how to build inclusive hiring processes, provide effective accommodations, foster communication and develop supportive teams that help everyone thrive.
