School of Health Professions Dean's Message
Dear Students,
Welcome to the School of Health Professions! Here, our goal is to prepare you to become a successful and compassionate healthcare provider and a leader of positive change in your field.
A Foundation for Growth
The School of Health Professions offers renowned programs with long histories of creating successful graduates, like physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant and exercise physiology, programs in the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and more. The rigorous curriculum in these programs paired with the Jesuit, liberal arts core, challenges our students to think critically, problem solve creatively and communicate effectively. This approach not only makes our programs unique, but will differentiate our graduates.
As a student in the School of Health Professions at Saint Joseph’s, you will benefit from expert practitioner faculty in your field of study as well as opportunities for interdisciplinary learning, research and networking.
Pathways to Success
Our professional programs offer accelerated models for students who enter as undergraduates and want to commit to continuing their studies through the master’s or doctoral level right here at Saint Joseph’s. You’ll work in state-of-the-art facilities on our campus.
We also have partnership agreements and relationships with medical and nursing programs at peer institutions which allow you priority admission or consideration.
Whatever your path, the School of Health Professions offers a diverse range of clinical opportunities to help you gain hands-on experience. Through strong affiliations with major healthcare providers and the University’s pro bono community clinics, our graduates gain exposure to multiple clinical environments and work with diverse patient populations.
Culture of Mentorship
Throughout my career, I have always enjoyed mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. This is a passion shared by my fellow faculty in the School of Health Professions, who seek not only to engage you as a future healthcare professional but who are interested in you as an individual. Our faculty provide unparalleled mentorship, engage students in groundbreaking research and scholarship and look to foster a learning environment that will enable you to succeed.
We look forward to helping you reach your success!
