New faculty are usually nominated as full members, while research students (graduate and undergraduate) who have shown “aptitude for research” are nominated for associate membership. The SJU Chapter pays the first year’s dues, thereafter they remain the responsibility of the individual member. For more info on Sigma Xi and the benefits of membership, see http://www.sigmaxi.org/.
For full members: a CV is also required. NOTE: CV’s are not required for associate membership.
