Body Adventure Summer Camp Counselors
Counselor Expectations
Counselors are expected to attend each day of camp. They are also expected to attend three one-hour professional development meetings prior to camp. Topics include:
- Introduction and culture awareness training
- Trauma-informed interactions workshop
- Camp preparation and curriculum review
Special Note for Summer Scholars: We are committed to helping you stay on track with your research responsibilities. With advanced notice, we can adjust your daily schedule for you to quickly run into the lab. Your mentor must give expressed approval for you to participate in BASC. We suggest starting or ending a week later than planned to complete your SS hours or working additional and weekend hours after the camp has finished.
