Adopted by Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 2003, the annual White Coat Ceremony symbolizes passage of the student pharmacist into the initial stages of the profession of pharmacy. By taking the Oath of the Pharmacist, the student pharmacists pledge to devote themselves to a lifetime of service to others, to practice with excellence, and to always act with respect, honor and integrity. The white coat represents their commitment to the profession and to their patients.
