Overview

Graduate certificate programs at Saint Joseph’s University allow PharmD students to broaden their expertise and strengthen their professional credentials. Through the Haub School of Business, students can pursue certificates that build specialized skills in business, health analytics, and related areas. In addition, the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy offers the Drug Discovery and Development graduate certificate, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of how new therapies progress from the research laboratory to the patient bedside.

Why Pursue a Graduate Certificate?

Graduate certificates are ideal for PharmD students who want to gain focused, practical knowledge to supplement their training. By completing fewer credits than a full master’s program, students earn an advanced credential that broadens career opportunities and deepens professional skills in areas such as management, data analytics, drug development or healthcare innovation.

Key Benefits:

  • Complete alongside your PharmD Program with no additional semesters required
  • One graduate certificate can be earned without additional cost
  • Customize your learning experience with courses that match your career goals
  • Build business, leadership, and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Enhance your competitiveness in pharmacy, industry, and healthcare management roles
  • Learn from expert faculty across pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, business, and informatics disciplines
  • Easily progress from a graduate certificate to a full dual PharmD/MBA, PharmD/MS

Available Certificates

Students enrolled in the PharmD program may pursue graduate certificates in the same specialized areas as the PharmD/MBA and PharmD/MS dual degrees offered in conjunction with the Haub School of Business, including:

  • Graduate Certificate in Business Administration
  • Graduate Certificate in Finance
  • Graduate Certificate in Food Marketing
  • Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics
  • Graduate Certificate in Marketing
  • Graduate Certificate in Health Administration
  • Graduate Certificate in Organization Development and Leadership
  • Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management
  • Graduate Certificate in Business Intelligence and Analytics

The department of Pharmaceutical Sciences offers a program to enhance understanding of the pharmaceutical sciences:

  • Graduate Certificate in Drug Development and Discovery
