Gender Inclusive Restrooms

All Gender Restroom sign that is red with braille In the spring of 2015, the student body worked together to bring gender-inclusive restrooms to Saint Joseph's University. These "All Gender Restroom" signs were installed in the summer of 2015 in over 30 single-stall and multiple-stall bathrooms all throughout campus. Since the summer of 2016, Saint Joseph's has continued to install more gender-inclusive restrooms. As of 2024, there are 40 restrooms on Hawk Hill and at University City designated as an all-gender restroom. Saint Joseph's University strives to create inclusive communities for all students, faculty, and staff.

Directions
Barbelin / Lonergan Hall 1 Restroom, 1st Floor:
Enter the courtyard and looking towards City Ave, enter the building through the door in the left corner. Turn left and the restroom is straight ahead.
Barry Hall 1 Restroom, 1st Floor:
Entering from the front reception area, the restroom is straight ahead.
Bellarmine Hall 1 Restroom, Ground Floor:
Using the entrance near Post Hall, head down the stairs. Turn right and the restroom is G73.

1 Restroom, 2nd Floor:
Using the entrance near Post Hall, head up two flights of the stairs. Turn right and the restroom is between 222 and G74.

1 Restroom, 3rd Floor:
Using the entrance near Post Hall, head up three flights of the stairs. Turn right and the restroom is next to G71.
Boland Hall 1 Restroom, 1st Floor:
When entering turn left, then turn right towards a small hallway. After leaving the hallway, turn right. The restroom is on the right.

1 Restroom, 2nd Floor:
When entering the building, head up the stairs. At the top of the stairs turn left, turn left. Enter the classroom and the restroom is in the far-left corner.
Bronstein Hall 1 Restroom, 1st Floor:
The restroom can be found behind the main staircase.

1 Restroom, 2nd Floor:
Using the main staircase, head up the stairs and turn right then turn left then turn right and the restroom is in the small hallway.
Campion Student Center 2 Restrooms, 2nd Floor:
Using the entrance of the Campion Courtyard, head up one flight of stairs. Turn right past North Lounge and turn left at the Center of Inclusion and Diversity. Restrooms to the left inside the office.

1 Restroom, 3rd Floor:
Using the entrance of the Campion Courtyard, head up one flight of stairs. Continue up the staircase straight ahead and turn right into 313. Turn right at the end of the room. Restroom on the right.
Claver Hall 2 Restrooms, 1st Floor.
Connelly Hall 1 Bathroom, 1st Floor:
Enter the building's entrance facing towards Merion Hall and O'Pake. Head straight towards the staircase. Turn left at the staircase and turn right into the alcove where the restroom is located.

2 Restrooms, 2nd Floor:
Using the entrance next to Cardinal Foley Campus Center and labeled Kinney Center, walk straight past the water fountain and make the left. Then walk straight and the restrooms are located there.
Drexel Library 1 Bathroom (5 Stalls), 1st Floor:
1st Floor Drexel Library side: When entering the Drexel library (opposite the Learning Commons), walk forward past the computers (on the left side of the space). Turn right once past the computers. The restroom is approximately 30 feet on the right.
Hall of Fame Room, Hagan Arena *Need a key from a desk attendant located in the entrance next to the main arena entrance

1 Restroom, 1st Floor:
Once you have received the key, walk through the double doors in the reception area and into the Arena. Head straight down into the Hall of Fame room. Once in the room, turn left and the hallway with the restroom is on your left.
Lannon Hall 1 Restroom, Ground Floor:
Using the front or back entrance, the restroom is the lobby in the corner closest to the main campus.
Mandeville Hall 1 Restroom, 2nd Floor:
From main entrance facing Sweeney Field, go straight towards hallway in back right corner. Turn right into the hallway and take the elevator to the second floor. Turn right out of the elevator. Restroom on the left.
McShain Hall 1 Restroom, Ground Floor:
From St. Mary's Hall side's stance, head towards the stairs. Before the stairs, turn right into the alcove.
Merion Gardens 2 Restrooms, Ground Floor:
When entering the building, swipe in and turn right. Head towards the elevator down to the basement. Turn left out of the elevator and continue going straight. Across from the gym are two (2) restrooms.
Merion Hall 1 Restroom (5 Stalls & 1 private ADA restroom), 2nd Floor:
Enter through main entrance (at the St. Ignatious statue) and go through the double doors on the right. Turn left through the doors and left down the hallway. Take North Stairwell to second floor. Turn right out of the stairwell, go straight down the hall, and stay right when the hall divides. Restroom on the left.
Nicoletti Hall 1 Restroom, 1st Floor.

1 Restroom, 2nd Floor.
Rashford Hall 1 Restroom, Ground Floor.
O'Pake Recreation Center 1 Restroom, Gym Lobby.
Saint Thomas Hall 1 Restroom, Ground Floor:
Enter through the main door on Lapsley Lane. Go downstairs using the staircase under the grand staircase. Once on the ground floor turn left and the restroom is on your right.

1 Restroom, 1st Floor:
Enter through the main door on Lapsley Lane. Turn right and on the right is the restroom.
The Perch 1 Restroom, First Floor:
Walk into the building, turn right and head towards the vending machine. Turn right and the restroom is on the right in the alcove.
Toland Hall 1 Restroom, 1st Floor.
Villiger Hall 2 Restrooms, Ground Floor:
Enter the building and turn left. Walk straight towards the glass doors. The restrooms are on the left.
Wolfington Center 1 Restroom, Ground Floor:
Using Wolfington's main entrance, turn right into the reception area and turn left. Walk down the short hallway and the restroom is on the right.
Pod Market/Freshens On Woodland Ave (old Starbucks)
2 bathrooms
Take she stairs to the second floor. Both facilities are on the left side of the open space, marked accordingly.
England Library Take the stair or elevator to the 3rd floor. Exit the elevator and take a right. Enter the microfilm room. The bathroom is in the right corner of the room, room 305.
ARC Take the elevator to the second floor. The restroom is located in the free weights and cardo-equipment room.
Glasser Hall Enter from Woodland Ave. Walk straight down the central hallway. The all gender restroom is on the left.
IPEX Room 105 - From the main entrance, make a right directly through the Room 105 double doors. It is the second door on the left. (signage is for women's room)

Room 224 - Second Floor, within the Physician Assistant Suite Conference Room (only accessible via locked access door to the suite)
Griffith Hall From the main hall entrance on the first floor, make a right. At the end of the main hallway, go left and continue down the hall. Make a right at the end of the hallway and the bathroom is to the right.
