Accreditation

 

Saint Joseph’s University is approved by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, that assesses institutions for the highest available form of accreditation.

The Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University is also accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a recognition that represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. 

The School of Health Professions offers programs with specialized accreditations. The Master of Occupational Therapy and Doctor of Occupational programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). The Doctor of Physical Therapy program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). The Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program is provisionally accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).

The BS in Elementary Education PreK-4 and Special Education program, MS in Special Education: Systemic Literacy, and Reading Intervention Certificate Program in the School of Education and Human Development is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA).

The Chemistry program in the College of Arts and Sciences is approved and recognized by the American Chemical Society (ACS).
