Capozzoli has now secured back-to-back-to-back Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors, her third accolade of the season moving into second in program history behind Stephanie Kelly's four Rookie of the Week honors in 2018.
The rookie put on another offensive clinic for the Hawks, scoring three goals and providing two assists for a team-high five points against nationally-ranked Massachusetts. Capozzoli has now tallied 15 goals in the last four games, overtaking freshman counterpart Kate Fuhrman for most points on the squad for a rookie with 22 goals and six assists.
On the season, the Ridley Park native has now registered seven games with multiple goals along with four games with at least a hat trick. Increasing her role over the last month and a half, Capozzoli has scored seven goals and added four assists in games against ranked teams in #18 Princeton and #13 Massachusetts.
The Hawks conclude the regular season with a trip down south against VCU on Saturday, April 29th. SJU has locked in the third seed for the A-10 Tournament, securing the seventh-straight season with an above .500 record in conference and overall action.
