The Role:
Social Media Intern, Visit Philadelphia
Describe your internship in three emojis:

The Day-to-Day:
Every day is different which makes the opportunity amazing! Some days I could be in the office working on assignments that need to be done, while other days I could be going out in the city of Brotherly Love filming content! At 10 a.m. on a workday, I could be working on a task that needs to be done for the week like Instagram stories or labeling for social media posts, or heading to a meeting with my team and others!
Go-to snack or drink that gets you through the day:
Sparkling water (specifically peach mango) and ritz peanut butter crackers
My “I nailed it” moment:
I think my “I nailed it” moment would have to be understanding how to use Canva the way I can. While it may be challenging for others, I am in clubs and organizations that have allowed me to learn how to use it for my growth in the internship and through life. Sometimes, Canva will be up and running on my computer all the time, as I am creating something new. Knowing that I understand how to use this program makes me feel like I am getting the right experience for my future.
Favorite part of your role:
My favorite part of this role is working alongside the social team. Their energy makes me very excited to work and learn new things from them daily about social media and the city overall.

Tips for the next intern:
Bring creative ideas to the table! As social media evolves every single day, showing the trends, new places in the city, or social media updates to the team can help everyone collectively. Take feedback as a chance to grow, not a setback! You’ll learn a lot from your team because you are there to learn. Use advice as a way to improve your creative instincts on the next task.
Best Philly Finds:
Two hidden gems would have to be All Aboard Candy and Wilts! All Aboard Candy, located in Rittenhouse, is a candy store with sweet candy from all over the world like Sweden, UK and more! Wilts is located in Reading Terminal Market and they are the best chocolate strawberries you can think of! They have gotten so popular and it’s amazing to watch them being made!
