On the Job: Noah LaRosa, BS ’28
Noah LaRosa, BS ’28, is spending the fall immersed in the world of chocolate with the Hershey Company.
This fall, food marketing and entrepreneurship student Noah LaRosa, BS ’28, is working as a field sales intern for the Hershey Company, Pennsylvania’s own confectionery maker. The job takes him to stores all around the region where he builds and perfects displays of the company’s products and works on creative ways to increase sales.
The Role:
Field Sales Intern, Hershey Company
Describe your internship in three words:
hands-on, driven, exciting
The Day-to-Day:
Each week I’ve been in a different region across New Jersey. On any given day, I’m likely in a store looking at data with the store manager and my territory sales lead, looking at sales and their year-to-date benchmarks, and seeing where we can put different displays across the store for better sales for the company.
Go-to snack or drink that gets you through the day:
Grape Rush Celsius — I start my days really early and I need something to get me through those first few hours.
My “I nailed it” moment:
Learning the terminology of different aspects of the job. I’m starting to understand what goes into each day and how each store differs.
Favorite part of your role:
My favorite day was my first day. We went right into building a 16-foot display at a Walmart in Cape May, and it was exciting to jump right into the field and learn as I went.

Tips for the next intern:
Find something you like to do in the car. You’re driving at least two to four hours a day, and music is great, but you can only listen to the same songs so many times. I’ve recently been getting into some sports podcasts on my drives.
