The Day-to-Day:
No two days at J&J were completely the same. Whether I was assisting with audits, calling state government agencies or hopping on a 1:1 meeting, there was always something to work on and learn from.
It's 10 a.m. on a workday, what are you up to:
At 10 a.m., I am most likely finishing up pulling returns and downloading them to our shared drive. I may also be working on an audit to share the progress I have made on it later in the day.
Go-to snack or drink that gets you through the day:
A vanilla latte from La Colombe on the first floor of Johnson Hall.
Do not be afraid to put yourself out there and ask questions. The only way to learn and grow is by being curious.

My “I nailed it” moment:
My “I nailed it” moment came toward the end of my co-op. My supervisor and I sat down one final time to go over my end-of-term evaluation. Hearing his kind words and recalling all I had worked on throughout the past six months gave me a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment.
Favorite part of your role:
The people! There was not one moment I did not feel welcomed or supported during my co-op. Everyone was willing to answer my questions and share insights into their experiences. For me, talking to my colleagues, whether they were in tax or other sectors of the company, was what allowed me to learn more than I ever thought I could.
Fit check:
My outfits changed as the seasons did, but typically I wore a sweater with my favorite dress pants from Anthropologie.
Tips for the next intern:
BE CURIOUS! You never know what you do not know. Put yourself out there, and definitely do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have. The greatest amount of learning can be done just from listening to those around you and applying their advice to your work and life.
Any interesting collaborations:
At the J&J fall regional tax meeting, I was able to collaborate with members from all different sectors of the tax department to solve puzzles in an escape-room-style board game.
