Brown Named Big 5 Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Saint Joseph's Cameron Brown has been named the Philadelphia Big 5 Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the two-week period ending Jan. 1, organization officials announced on Monday.

Over three contests, the Hawks' captain averaged 20.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game, while shooting 48.9% from the field (21-43), and connecting on 16-28 from three-point range. In a victory over Sacred Heart, Brown finished with 19 points and had 11 boards for his fourth double-double of the year, while adding four assists. He followed with a game-high 24 points and added five rebounds and five assists in a win over CCSU, and then added 17 points, nine rebounds and three assists in the Hawks' A-10 opener versus Saint Louis.

Brown and the Hawks return to action on Wednesday at Dayton at 7 p.m.
