Knowledge and networking are keys to a successful career. This coming week is an opportunity for students to hone their skills around the latter.

Career Conversations Week, presented by the Alumni Relations office and Career Development Center, runs the week of Oct. 22-26.

It begins Monday with Talk with Hawks, which pairs students and alumni in order to provide students with insights about and connections within various professions.

The event begins 6 p.m. Monday in the Foley Center. Students who wish to attend should use the Handshake platform to sign up.

There are more events through the week where students can speak with employers and alumni from specific industries:

  • Tuesday, 5:30 p.m., Foley Center: Branding, Media, and Marketing careers.
  • Wednesday, 5:30 p.m., Doyle Banquet Halls, Campion Student Center: Finance, Real Estate, Insurance, Technology, and Data Analytics.

On Thursday (5:30 p.m., Foley Center), students can participate in “What Are You Going to Do with THAT major?”, a networking game in which students will ask alumni questions aimed at guessing their original major. Expect to be surprised! Check out the full schedule of events here.
