The Saint Joseph's University cheerleading team made program history as it captured two trophies from the National Cheerleaders Association Collegiate Cheerleading Championship.

For the first time ever, the Hawks medaled in two divisions, earning a third-place finish in the Division I All-Girl Intermediate division and a second-place finish in the Division I Spirit Rally division.

In the All-Girl Intermediate Division, the Hawks - led by junior captains McKenzie Harris, Carlina Hershock, and Helen Monek - secured a score of 93.0025 to take home the bronze medal after two days of strong and consistent performances.

In the Spirit Rally Division, sophomore captains Allie Harrer and Braycee Henley led the squad to a standout routine on day two, earning zero deductions and scoring 90.0625, clinching the silver medal.

"As a coach, my greatest responsibility is making sure nothing I lack ever holds my athletes back. Overtime, I focused on continuing to develop talent, while also making mental toughness and love core pillars of our team culture," said head coach Kimberly Nichols. "This weekend, both teams truly embodied that mindset. Hearing our athletes say they felt ready—not nervous, not scared, not intimidated—was one of the most rewarding moments I've had as a coach. Their performances reflected the trust, heart, and mental strength we've built together all season long. As a first-year head coach, I'm so grateful these athletes were open to new ideas, embraced challenges, and committed fully to growing as both athletes and teammates. The journey wasn't always easy, but their resilience, focus, and unwavering support for each other made all the difference."

Nichols continued, "A second place finish in a brand-new division and 3rd place in the largest division of the competition are incredible accomplishments. I am beyond proud to have been part of their journey, and I couldn't be more excited for what's next for this amazing program."
