James Martin, S.J., author and editor-at-large for America Magazine, will speak about how, through respect, compassion and sensitivity, we can create a welcoming, inclusive space for all in the Catholic Church during a lecture on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Fr. Martin challenges Catholics to encounter and experience the lives of people on the margins of the Church, particularly the LGBT community. He is also a frequent commentator in the national media about contemporary issues in the Catholic Church and the intersection of faith and culture.

This event is sponsored by the Faith-Justice Institute’s Klein Fund and the Center for Inclusion and Diversity.
