On August 26, 2021, students and their families spent the morning moving into the Living & Learning Commons (LLC) to make their homes for the upcoming academic year. Over 230 new students moved onto campus, ready to meet their peers and begin their USciences journey.
With the help of residence life staff, college dorm room essentials were moved into the building and set up as the first step on the weekend’s agenda for new students. Following move in, students participated in various orientation events to meet their peers and explore campus.
The Welcome Weekend events featured activities like a Farewell Toast for families, games and presentations, as well as “Light the Spark” for alumni and new students.
In total, 478 students moved back to on-campus housing over the weekend to prepare for the 2021-2022 academic year. Classes began on Monday, August 30.
