Students will be able to make changes to their schedule during the Add-Drop Period which begins August 21 and runs through September 5, 2023.
Seats in courses are extremely limited. Check the course schedule to confirm a course has an open seat and is not restricted before attempting to add/drop. Click the course title to see course details including restrictions and attributes.

If you want to make a change to your schedule, please contact your advisor to discuss the change and obtain your registration PIN to access the self-service registration area on the Nest. Students can find their advisor’s name and contact information on their student profile in the Nest:
- Log into The Nest.
- Click on the “Student” tab in the top navigation.
- Click on the “Access Student Profile” link in the “Advising Resources” block.
- Your advisor and a link to their contact information can be found in your profile.
-
View the Video Tutorial: Joining a Waitlist for step-by-step instructions on how to add yourself to a waitlist for a course.
Joining a waitlist does not guarantee you a seat in the course. Do not drop another course to add yourself to a waitlist.

Seats in laboratories are extremely limited. Introductory science courses like BIO 101/L and CHM 120/L have very limited room for changes to lab times.
If you must change your lab time, please use extreme caution. Both the old lab and new lab times need to be in your summary box before submitting changes.
If you drop your lab without having a new lab time selected in your summary box, you will also be dropped for the lecture.

Please contact sjuadvising@sju.edu if you want to change your major prior to the start of fall semester. We will assist you with major and schedule changes as needed.

Even if you are concerned that your placement is too high, you should still remain in the course level you are currently registered for. During the first week of class, faculty will continue to assess their background and skills in the language. If your professor recommends a level change, you will be able to add/drop courses during the first week of classes.
If you want to change your language selection, complete the language request form. If you previously studied the language you are changing to, you will need to also take a placement test if you have not already.
Language Exemption - Students who are bilingual are exempt from the language requirement. Students can submit a language request form to the MCL department to request an exemption.
Language Waiver - If you have a non-native language waiver, these are approved substitute classes for Fall 2023.
-
If you have taken college level courses while in high school, you can complete this form to have them considered for transfer. Send your official transcript to admit@sju.edu.
Send your official grade reports for AP and IB credit. Consult the Transfer Credit Guide to see how your credit will be applied at SJU.
