Co-Op Program
The Haub School of Business Cooperative Education Program (co-op) is a great way to unite the classroom and the workplace. Designed to blend valuable, hands-on experience and Ignatian reflection, the co-op program alternates between semesters of study and two full-time work terms (within four years). A competitive but professionally supported job search process can lead to students earning co-op roles in corporate settings provided by vetted co-op employers. This high degree of early career engagement allows students to explore, confirm, and, if necessary, change their academic program and refocus their professional interests.
Graduate in 4 years, with 1 full year of full-time work experience!
Whether you’re contemplating attending Saint Joseph’s University or already enrolled, imagine you’re a senior in the Haub School of Business. Would you like to have a full-time job in-hand before graduation? Do you want to be a stronger candidate in your job interviews? Would you like to build a network of corporate contacts before entering the workforce? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Haub School of Business co-op program could be the perfect way to complement your academic studies and achieve your career goals.
As a structured, four-year program, co-op bridges the classroom and the workplace by alternating semesters of on-campus study with full-time, off-campus corporate work experience. Through the co-op program, students can complete two paid, full-time work experiences within their four-year academic journey—gaining a full year of professional experience without extending their time in school.
By the Numbers
The Haub School of Business co-op program enrolls approximately 200 students (50 to 60 per class). This creates a perfect balance between a meaningful program size and a director-to-student ratio that allows for generous personal attention. The benefits of the program’s size, and the attention students receive, are reflected in a years-long tradition of positive assessment statistics:
