Saint Joseph’s University has once again been recognized as a leader in higher education, ranking No. 6 in U.S. News & World Report’s Regional Universities North category for 2026. The ranking marks the seventh year in a row the University has ranked in the top 10 for this category.

According to U.S. News, “the top-ranked schools provided ample classroom resources for students and faculty; conferred bachelor's degrees at high rates; and produced graduates who entered the workforce with manageable debt and worthwhile starting salaries.”

“Saint Joseph’s University’s consistent recognition among the top 10 in U.S. News and World Report is due in large part to our commitment to fostering an environment in which our students and faculty thrive, where persistence to graduation is supported, and where our graduates are prepared to lead lives of purpose and achieve lasting professional success,” says Jean McGivney-Burelle, PhD, provost and senior vice president of academic affairs.

U.S. News also ranked Saint Joseph’s No. 21 for Best Value Schools North, No. 2 for Best Colleges for Veterans North and No. 8 for Most Innovative Schools North. Notably, St. Joe’s jumped 8 spots in the Most Innovative Schools category this year — a nod to the University's innovations in technology, curriculum, campus life and facilities.

In August, the University was named to The Princeton Review’s list of the Best 391 Colleges, with additional callouts in the Best Mid-Atlantic and Best Green Colleges categories. Saint Joseph’s was also once again named one of the Best Colleges in America by Niche, including a top four spot among the Best Catholic Colleges in Pennsylvania.
