Ignatian Leadership Program
The Ignatian-inspired Leadership Program at Saint Joseph’s University (ILP) was founded in 2005 to foster the use of long-standing Ignatian principles for use in the life of the SJU educational community. Ignatian leadership offers a unique style of emphasis on the values of self-awareness, discernment, continuous learning and concern for the common good. The ILP is currently offered to two groups, administrators and faculty, who meet monthly during the academic year. Both cohorts participate in facilitated learning, discussion and reflection, to expand their leadership capacity. Each group has a different overall focus based on their unique professional needs. While the administrative cohort learns how to lead and manage more effectively, the faculty group examines the leadership of teaching, research and scholarship from the Ignatian perspective, as it applies to an academic community.
If you are interested in nominating a member of the SJU community for this program, please contact Fr. Dan Joyce at officeofmission@sju.edu.
