Novena of Confidence to the Sacred Heart
(To be recited at the end of the homily at each mass)
Lord Jesus,
To Your Sacred Heart I entrust
(hear mention your request)
Look up on me,
then do as Your Heart thinks best.
I trust you.
I count on your mercy.
Lord Jesus, You will not fail me.
I believe in your love for me.
May your kingdom come!
Lord Jesus, I have asked for many favors,
but I earnestly beg for this one.
Take it, place it in Your Sacred Heart.
Then it will no longer be my prayer
but Yours, O Jesus. Amen
(To be recited at the end of the homily)
Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart
(To be recited after communion at each mass)
Oh, Sacred Heart of Jesus, I give, and consecrate to Thee, my actions and pains, my sufferings and my life, in order that my entire being may be devoted to honor, love and glorify thy Sacred Heart. It is my sincere determination to be and to do all for Thy love. I renounce with all my heart, all that may be displeasing to You. I choose Thee, oh, Sacred Heart, for the only object of my love, the protector of my life, the pledge of my salvation, the remedy of my weakness, and inconstancy, the repairer of my past mistakes, and my safe asylum at the hour of death. Be then, Oh, Heart of Goodness, my way to God, the Father. Oh, Heart of Love in Thee I place all my confidence. Free me from any malice or dire weakness but I hope all from Thy goodness. Destroy in me all that resists Thee. Let Thy pure love be so deeply impressed on my heart that I never forget or be separated from Thee. Oh Jesus, I implore Thee, by the goodness, to let my name be written in Thy Sacred Heart, that living and dying in quality of Thy servant, I may find all my glory and happiness in Thee.
Amen
