We partner with industry experts to provide offerings that help people stay competitive in the workforce. From medical cannabis certification and business certificates to horticulture and courses on neurodiversity from the Kinney Center, Saint Joseph’s offers a variety of options to continue your education — and we’re continuing to expand our offerings.
Barnes Horticulture Certificate
The Barnes Arboretum at Saint Joseph’s University offers a two-year horticulture certificate program that combines horticultural science, methods and design. The program meets one day a week for 28 weeks each academic year and prepares students for the Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist exam. All classes in the program can also be individually audited, space permitting.
Cannabis Studies Certificates
In partnership with Green Flower, Saint Joseph’s offers a number of Cannabis Studies certificate programs. Through these programs, students benefit from a market-driven curriculum that is facilitated by top experts within the cannabis industry. Programs include the business of cannabis, cannabis healthcare and medicine, cannabis law and policy and cannabis agriculture and horticulture. Each certificate consists of three 8-week courses. Offered fully online, these programs are open for enrollment several times throughout the year.
Executive Coach Program (ICF Accredited)
Saint Joseph’s University is offering a unique and proven ICF- accredited executive coaching training with the Center for Executive Coaching. The executive coaching program is virtual, conveniently self-paced and interactive. You make your own schedule with our flexible hours to accommodate your busy life.
Entrepreneurial Bootcamp for Veterans
The Office of Veteran Services at Saint Joseph’s University runs entrepreneurial bootcamp programs for active military and military veterans who are interested in growing or starting their own business. These programs combine self-study curriculum with instructor-led feedback, on-campus residency weeks and year-long mentorships.
Kinney Center Courses
Saint Joseph’s University’s School of Education and Human Development has launched two online, self-paced modules through its Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support. These modules are aimed at corporate and higher education partners who are working to create a more accessible environment for neurodiverse populations.
AI in Healthcare: The Essentials for Nurses and Healthcare Workers
This course equips nurses, and other health professionals, with essential knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. Learners explore core AI concepts and examine how these technologies are shaping clinical practice, decision-making, and healthcare systems. This course has been approved for 6 PSNA Credits.

Preparing Transition-Aged Students with Disabilities for Post-Secondary Education
Learn how to effectively support students with disabilities as they navigate the path to college and post-secondary education, from building the right skills in K-12 to coordinating with families and colleagues during the transition process. This course has been approved for 7 ACT 48 Credits.
Literacy Leadership Through Collaboration: Building Effective Literacy Teams
This course prepares literacy professionals to lead effective literacy teams functioning as professional learning communities (PLCs). Content Area Literacy
