In its 172-year history, Saint Joseph's University has had an acclaimed set of presidents — from immigrant Rev. Felix Barbelin, S.J., to lay president Mark C. Reed, EdD, to the first female president, Cheryl A. McConnell, PhD — each of whom has played a role in shaping the Jesuit University's past, present and future.
