Phi Theta Kappa Dual Admission

Members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the community college honor society, are eligible for conditional admission to select master’s degree programs at the time of acceptance to a bachelor’s degree program at Saint Joseph's. Because of your commitment to academics and excellence in community college, Saint Joseph’s University is extending this unique opportunity to begin earning a master's degree or MBA while you are an undergraduate student at Saint Joseph's.

The PTK Dual Admission Accelerated Master’s Program offers the unique opportunity for you to be admitted to both a bachelor’s and master’s degree program at Saint Joseph’s University. After at least 90 credits completed toward your bachelor’s degree (and at least 30 completed at SJU), and with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher, you will be able to take up to 9 graduate credits to count toward both your master’s and bachelor’s degrees, saving you time and money.. After successful completion of your bachelor’s degree, and with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, you can fully matriculate into the master’s degree program and complete the remaining graduate credits. 

You will be eligible for the 10 percent alumni tuition discount once you complete your bachelor’s degree.

Master's degree and MBA programs are offered across all three schools, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Haub School of Business and the School of Health Studies and Education. Programs include:

• Apply using the St. Joe’s Adult Learner application. 
• Answer YES to being a member of PTK and select your program of interest.
• Upload a copy of your PTK Honor Society document in your application portal.

It’s that simple. There is no application fee.

When you have reached close to completing 90 credits, with at least 30 of those credits completed at St. Joe’s, you will be invited to confirm your interest in completing your Accelerated Master’s. If you change your mind, you are still able to graduate with your Bachelor’s Degree. You are encouraged to express interest with your Academic Advisor who can help determine which program is best for your goals and can review your options for double counting credits toward your undergraduate and graduate degrees.
