Chemical Biology Major
The chemical biology major at Saint Joseph’s University, offered by the departments of biology and chemistry, gives students the tools to understand the chemical processes that occur at the molecular level. The program's hallmark is engagement in faculty-directed, independent research projects. Through this hands-on approach, you apply what you learn in the classroom and laboratory to real-world scientific problems. You'll also gain experience using state-of-the-art instruments and conduct data analysis and interpretation.
Chemical biology majors have presented their research at local, regional, and national meetings and in scientific journals. Students are also nominated regularly for Phi Beta Kappa honors and prestigious science awards.
