Health Administration and Health Informatics MHA/MS Dual Degree

The joint MHA/MSHI graduate program at Saint Joseph’s University is flexible and can be completed on-campus or online. Students may designate an interest in on-campus learning if desired and available. Students benefit from our small evening classes designed for professionals who want to work at their own pace and create connections with their classmates and professors. The program also includes hands-on learning experiences in simulated healthcare environments that prepare students for a successful career in the healthcare industry.

By obtaining a health administration and health informatics dual master’s degree, you’re demonstrating a broad and deep knowledge of the management and administrative aspects of the healthcare industry. You will also demonstrate how to implement and utilize information technology to support healthcare organizations. A dual degree shows potential employers that you’re equipped to oversee the health of populations, implement quality improvement and monitor clinical performance.

With the average class size only 20 students or less, you will have the opportunity to engage in discussion, reflection and collaboration with healthcare faculty and fellow classmates.

Saint Joseph’s dual MHA/MHI master’s degree program is taught by experienced professors and researchers from across the healthcare industry.

Our rigorous curriculum and hands-on learning opportunities are developed for the modern healthcare marketplace. You will complete assignments in real-life simulated environments utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and will learn how to use other commonly-used software, resulting in tangible resume-enhancing skills. Students also gain insight and access to industry organizations with discounted student memberships when applicable.

The tuition rate for FY24/25 is $1,216 per credit.

ALUMNI DISCOUNT

Saint Joseph’s encourages alumni to pursue lifelong learning. That's why all Hawks and University of the Sciences alumni are eligible for a 10% tuition discount for graduate master’s degree and graduate credit-bearing certificate programs, with the exception of the MS in Physician Assistant Studies and MOT (Masters in Occupational Therapy). Additionally, the tuition discount does not apply to doctoral-level programs.

MILITARY DISCOUNT

Saint Joseph’s University is proud to offer a 10% tuition discount on master’s degrees, adult learner and certificate programs for Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve service members, veterans and their spouses. 

MISSION DISCOUNT

If you have completed at least one year of full-time service in an established volunteer service organization, you are eligible for a 20% tuition discount, with no application fee, on all master’s level graduate degree and certificate programs.

EMPLOYER DISCOUNTS

Saint Joseph's University has partnered with select tuition benefit managers and organizations that support higher education including Bright Horizons and EdAssist, Edcor, and Scholarship America. Your employer may also be affiliated with these groups which may make your eligible for a 10% tuition discount on graduate programs. To be considered for admission, you must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with a demonstrated record of academic success and a minimum of 3 years of direct healthcare-related experience.
