Biology Minor

The biology minor is an excellent complement to many academic disciplines, providing non-majors with a broad training in the life sciences. The minor includes the three-course biology core sequence along with upper-level courses from at least two major areas in the life sciences, ensuring a breadth of knowledge. Guided and challenged by award-winning faculty in both the classroom and the laboratory, you will master the relevant facts, gain the ability to think critically, design and perform experiments, draw appropriate conclusions from data, and communicate results using both the spoken and written word. Minors take a total of eight courses: the three-course biology core sequence, three upper level biology courses, and two in chemistry.
